Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and raised by an ethnically diverse, multiracial family. The father of Jacqueline, Elroy Fernandez is from Sri Lanka. Jacqueline is the oldest of two siblings and a younger sibling. She was raised and born in Bahrain. Her parents had moved there in the 1980s because of civil unrest within Sri Lanka. When she finished her studies in Bahrain, she was awarded an Scholarship to pursue a degree at Sydney's University of Sydney, where she pursued a master's degree in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. She also attended in the Berlitz School of Foreign Languages which allowed her to improve her French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March of 2006, and later participated as Miss Universe 2006 also. Following her win of the Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she took on the world of television and anchored a show that was a business show in Sri Lanka known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the daughter of the badminton players Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager, she participated in national badminton tournaments. She later resigned from the sport and became a designer. Padukone was born in Mangalore, Indian. Her native language Konkani is her mother tongue. Padukone is located situated in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State, India is where her lineage is derived from. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is an international champion in badminton who has retired. Her mother is a traveling agent.
